The Mariagrün Elementary School is organized around a central atrium that connects classrooms, learning areas, specialized rooms, and the gymnasium, serving as the focal point of the building. Arranged around the atrium, the learning spaces open up into flexible zones and small niches for quiet work or retreat. The building follows the natural slope of the terrain, thereby creating a clear and easily navigable circulation system. Nestled within a park-like landscape, the existing trees are preserved and integrated into the daily life of the school. Furthermore, the atrium and gymnasium allow for use beyond regular class hours, transforming the school into an open venue for the local neighborhood.
