In the Theater am Rhein, next to the cathedral, right next to the main train station in Cologne, we were able to convert the restaurant into an exquisite lounge. Planning and detailing was a challenge into this semi-permanent tent-container steel framed building. In the existing appearance of the steel structure with full size glass facades, we have chosen an interior, which style refers to the years 20-30. Accordingly, we chose stucco details and the material brass in order to achieve a certain artificial patina. The resulting character is introverted and pleasantly consistent with a number of fresh lighting- and decorative objects.
