After the Metropol-Theater closed its doors in 1996, it was acquired by the Arena Group, who reconceptualized the theater based on its unique history. The Arena Group introduced new uses into the building complex, incorporating additional venues, restaurants, a club, office spaces and a radio studio. The theater’s renovation is sensitive to its historical development, different states of (dis)repair and varying decorations, revealing a complete timeline of aesthetic interferences.
